The only legal way into or out of the city is through the checkpoint, where Empire soldiers check ids and passports. And as of current? Only the Empire's own are getting in or out.

Surrounding the city of Newhaven since its lock down are large electrical fences spanning over fifteen feet high. The empire's soldiers are constantly patrolling the fences as well, making sure that the city's inhabitants stay in, and everyone else stays out.

The Beau Estate is the home of Newhaven's noble family, and one of the few places left unchanged by the military lock down. Still as beautiful as the day everything went down, it's in stark contrast with the poverty surrounding it.

What was once high-class living has slowly been turning to slums within the Empire's chokehold. Of course, those that can afford housing here are just likely to have it. It's unlikely that they'll complain about the quality of it, considering that most have even less in Newhaven any more.

What was once a bustling marketplace is now little more than a crime district. With few imports and no exports, Newhaven can mainly only get what it can produce on the inside. Few have jobs anymore, and those that do are constantly under threat of thievery due to so many needing to rely on it to survive.

Considering all of the soldiers stationed in Newhaven, one would assume that the streets would be safe. Instead, the opposite is true. Police brutality, thievery, and muggings have all become quite common since the lock down.

What was once a large department store was eventually converted into something of a makeshift camp for the Empire soldiers deployed to Newhaven. In the year that its been in use, the encampment has become quite nice, considering the fact that it was only supposed to be temporary.

After a year of complete lock down, Liliana Bellamy has decided to sponsor one of her infamous balls in Newhaven. Though as beautiful and charming as all of her events, with chandeliers strung up, intricate lacework found on all surfaces, more flowers than most people have ever seen in their lives scattered about, and expensive crystal sitting on all tables, the ball still seems to have a sinister air about it.
