Plot

Glory and Gore takes place in the Loros region, a realm kept under strict martial rule by a monarch who has little care for his people, and instead only desires to further his own power and fatten his own wallet. in order to keep the people of loros powerless, owning pokemon has been illegal for many generations. only those within the military or business owners with permits to use pokemon may keep them. it isn't uncommon for soldiers to sic their pokemon upon civilians in order to show the difference in power either.

with the empire having total control over the people within loros, joining it often seems like the best option for civilians. with it being the only way to ensure some sort of job security. selling one's self to their oppressors and helping to tear down those with less social power is an incredibly tempting offer, particularly when the propaganda smeared across all cities and throughout all kinds of media shows it in the most positive light.

due to the harsh restrictions placed on the people of loros, a protest was brought together in one of the main cities in order to try and bring some rights back to the people. when the militia was brought in to settle the protests, riots broke out, and violence was used to subdue the rebellion. the main speaker at these protests was murdered, the city was forced into complete lock down, and those that managed to escape the riots formed together in order to create spectre, a faction whose sole purpose was to tear down the empire.

though spectre has been mainly quiet for the past year, finally they feel themselves strong enough to try and rip apart their oppressors. the time for war has come, and will stop at nothing to destroy the government that has kept them quiet for so very long.
