RULES
RESPECT
Treat everyone onsite with respect, from guests to members. If someone says that something makes them uncomfortable, have the decency to stop. Don't cause drama, don't be rude out of character, and if you can't solve something between yourself and whoever you are having problems with, get staff.
REALISM
At the very least, please be as realistic as physically possible on a pokemon site. Humans cannot understand Pokespeak- other than the psychic Pokemon who have been known to communicate with those around them-, psychic humans are not allowed(though those pretending to do so are fine), and supernatural powers are not allowed. Please also be realistic when dealing with wounds and healing onsite.
BATTLES
While Glory & Gore does not have a leveling system, please be reasonable in fights. No one can always win and pokemon owned by high-ranking military officials are most likely stronger than farm-grade pokemon. A battle-experienced venisuar can probably hold it's own rather well against a newer charizard, however, a pidgey would most likely not be able to defeat a veteran raichu. Up to two moves can be used in a single post. Dodges count as a move. don't go overboard with dodging.
ITEMS
Due to Pokemon being so highly restricted in site canon, items related to Pokemon care(potions, pokeballs, antidotes, etc) are not commonly sold or owned by people. The empire's militia is in total control of them and rarely gives them out. This means that these items cannot be bought or sold on site. instead, These items can only be obtained through participating in onsite events or through being an active participant in the plot.
POKEMON
Due to pokeballs being rather hard to come across, wild pokemon cannot be captured. Instead, pokemon are given out to characters who participate in events or who are dedicated to advancing the plot. Pokemon can also be stolen or taken from other members during certain events or if discussed with the other person's player beforehand. These are the only ways to obtain pokemon after creation. mega evolution is not allowed on this site. evolution will be offered to people who are active in the plot and participate in events, however they are allowed to decline this offer, or save it for another time if they so desire.
POKEMON CREATION
New soldiers, cadets, or intelligence officers should not have powerful, fully evolved pokemon without reason. While this will be decided upon a case by case basis- for instance, someone who grew up in a military family and was gifted a pokemon they had raised from childhood may have a fully evolved pokemon due to having it for over a decade- pokemon will be checked over to ensure that they are not overpowered. As a general rule of thumb, limit your egg moves, TMs, and tutor moves. If you are found to have too many in your party, your pokemon will be rejected. Be reasonable when picking moves and move sets. Think about how many years your character has had their pokemon, and decide from there if they would realistically have been able to train their pokemon to that level. Evolutions will be considered in the same way. It would not make sense for a pokemon newly received (within the past year) to be on its third evolution.
ACTIVITY
Activity checks take place once a month. Canon characters must try to post at least once every two weeks and must try to plot and participate in events as much as possible. Anyone found letting their canon character idle will have it take from them and will be replaced. Inactive characters are archived. Canons who lose their position due to inactivity can only regain their spot if no one has claimed it in the time that they were inactive. other characters can be brought back from the inactivity heap at any time, simply PM a staff member about it.
ALLEGIANCES
Try not to make too many characters for one faction- try to keep it even. bans will be placed if they must.
RATING
Try to remember that this is a PG-13 site. Do not include any overly graphic gory posts in your fights, and do not have any of your romances get too touchy-feely on site.
ACCOUNTS
One character per account. The names of accounts must be what the character goes by(preferably first and last name) and all images must be placed in the mini-profile (the small avatar is 100x100 and the hover is 250x350). Due to this being an alternate universe, none of the game or show characters are canon here. That means that they can be used as face claims here. That does not mean that you can make these characters as their show or game counterpart though. Please be aware of this when using them. You may make as many characters as you can keep up with. characters must be from within loros. people from loros are not allowed to leave the region, and people from other regions are not allowed in.
GODMODDING
Godmodding or powerplaying are not allowed unless discussed and okay'd by the members involved before hand. Others' characters my not die without their consent. You are allowed to injure another person's character, but please be reasonable in what you do.
POSTING
There is no word count, but try to be courteous to your fellow members and try to match their post length and give quality posts. Liquid time is in effect here, and you may be in as many threads as you see fit and are capable of keeping up with.
PLAGIARISM
Don't do it.
