for all the air that's in your lungs Rain was a hideous thing. At least, it was when you lived essentially on a beach. And on a Saturday, too? Seth had managed to get his one day off a week to be Saturday. It was a generally carefree day of the week, so why wouldn't he want to be off? Saturdays were for sleeping in and relaxing, not working. And that is just what Seth doing today (sleeping in just past noon and lounging around indoors while the rain pelted down).
Eventually, the boy had had enough of bemoaning the weather from his room, so he went to bemoan the weather somewhere else. Dressed in shorts and a t-shirt as though he were going to the beach (it was still warm despite the rain, alright?) Seth had walked into a cafe. He shook his hair, already having silently berated himself for forgetting an umbrella. Both of his Pokemon were cooped up in their pokeballs, at least for the walk over. Electric and fire Pokemon, not the best for rainy weather like this.
Seth sat on a stool at the counter and sent a message to his friend "hey im here". He had been pestering her all day, sending things like "im bored" and "stop working, lets do something". It was mostly playful whining--and hopefully his friend understood that--but he really was bored.
A certain Litwick was let out of its pokeball and onto the counter while Seth waited. He poked at Flamelord's side. Provoking the little thing wasn't necessarily the best idea, but Seth was doing it anyway. Maybe he wanted to build up its tolerance for irritation. Maybe an upset little candle would give him something to do for a few minutes. Whatever the reason, Seth zoned out with teasing his Pokemon and listening to the rain outside. glass full until morning light, 'cos I'm just holding on for tonight She loved the rain. It had a soothing melody to it. The rain rejuvenated the earth. The smell was great too. Though in Whitecoast, it really just enhanced the salty air. Still she didn't mind. On the other hand, Houndour hated it. The poor boy sat sulking in the kitchen, whining ever so softly here and there. While she felt bad, there wasn't much she could do about other than keep him cooped up all day. As she was cleaning a few tables, her phone started. Wandering to it, she smiled when a familiar name popped up. Seth. A good friend of hers...and if she thought about it he was really her only friend. It wasn't a bad thing. She didn't really mind it. In truth she really didn't have time for people anyway. Work kept her plenty busy. That and she needed to set time aside every day to sit in her living room and stare longingly at her piano and those lonely ivories. After a bit more coaxing from Seth, she skipped over to the door and flipped the sign. Rainy days weren't great for business anyway. People liked to stay indoors, and she couldn't blame them. Running upstairs, she changed rather swiftly, donning a pale gray pair of sweat pants and a tight black, deep v-neck t-shirt. Before she left her room, she skidded to a stop, though it held less grace and as a result she ended up tripping over her own feet and falling to the ground. In the process she managed to knock her head against the wooden doorframe. It held a loud thud, and she bit her lip hard to suppress a scream. Hearing the commotion, Houndour bounded upstairs in a mad fury. His fangs barred with licks of flame bellowing out. As he took in the situation his actions ceased and he fell to the floor as well, rolling onto his back and making sounds she could only assume had been laughter. “Uh...ugh...” She groaned, hands clutching her head. Eyes had watered from the pain, but she blinked. It hurt, agonizing even...but after seeing Houndour she couldn't help but laugh with him. Rising to her feet, ensuring to clutched onto anything and everything that was solid as she did so, and shook her head. Sighing, she went at a painfully slow pace back into her bedroom where she threw her pink hair into a messy top bun and grabbed her mint green pullover hoodie. At this point Seth had texted her again, but she didn't bother to respond as she was heading down there now. As she came down the stairs, she wondered if he would have heard her self destructive burst of clumsiness. Keeping up with her slow pace, she turned the corner and flashed a bright smile to Seth, who sat at the counter with his Litwick. “You're lucky I like you.” She chimed playfully.

for all the air that's in your lungs The fact that no one was even in the cafe hadn't even fazed Seth. Regardless of any logic, he was just too bored to notice. The door was apparently unlocked since he was currently sitting inside on a bar stool. He didn't notice the loud sounds from upstairs, either. Too focused on the sound of the rain, I suppose.
The teasing of Flamelord stopped as Seth drifted into his thoughts. His arms were folded under his head as he stared out the window. He and Grace had actually dated once. Around the time they were both thirteen, if he remembered correctly. They had hung out for a few months, but never really got anywhere. Eventually, Seth realized it was because he wasn't interested in it going anywhere. That Grace wasn't his, um, type. Because of that, it was an important time for Seth. He liked to think it was an important time for Grace, too. That their time together had functioned as a sort of test run for whatever she was looking for. A band-aid. He had been there when she heard of her father's death, too. At that point, they were just friends. Good friends. He acted like a band-aid with that, too, consoling her as best he could. That was years ago and the two had remained good friends--hell, they were best friends by now if he thought about it. Presently, Seth was pining for a return to the dating scene. He was sure Grace would be excited to help him with that.
Trying not to drift off, Seth sighed and poked the Litwick again, getting a spiteful sputtering sound in return. There's the Flamelord we knew and had a tentative relationship bordering on the antagonistic with. Grace came in right then, but Seth didn't notice her presence until she spoke and interrupted his reminiscing. "Huh? Oh... Thanks." Seth sat up, blinking memories from his eyes. Once he returned to this plane of existence, he returned to the (mostly playfully) whiny personality Grace had seen many times before, "Graceyyy, I'm boooored!" Clutching the edge of the counter, Seth leaned back dramatically, letting out a yelp when he nearly fell out of his seat. The little Litwick had an air of 'you deserve that you bafoon'. 377 ― grace probably knows already that seth wants a boyfriend something bad MADE BY KAIZU OF GS & TWF
