The ball was going exquisitely. Of course, Vivi hadn't planned the event. She didn't really begrudge Lily her party, but many things would have been different had Vivi planned it instead. She would have gone for a much more formal setting. Nonetheless, Vivi had been enjoying her night. Dancing and talking to the higher-ups and of course, the fine dining. All things Vivi enjoyed.[break][break]
At present, Viola was drifting through the crowds. She saw many familiar faces: nobility, soldiers that catch the attention of the upper ranks, and some personal friends. One face in particular caught Vivi's eye. As people saw her walking with a purpose, many of the more aware individuals moved out of the way. She sauntered over, calling up details of the person who intrigued her so in that moment: Anastasia Lumiere. Semi-distant relative. College student. Disinterest in the military. Family living in Bellefield. Seeing her at the ball was unexpected, and Vivi was really only interested in a chat between cousins.[break][break]

She didn't need anything from Ana, yet she seemed to have a need to show who was in control. "How's college treating you?" Viola had been told at the last family gathering that Ana was still in college at the Citadel, and still had a year or two to finish her degree.
